unwinding cling film by gravity

Re-wind IV is the 4-th generation of a machine unwinding a roll of cling film by gravity whilst winding the plastic onto the machine. A feedback system with sensors tries to keep the roll in a stable hover by adjusting the speed of the machine. Gradually slowing down it takes between 3 and 5 hours to completely unwind a 50 meter roll of cling film.
